Responsibilities
As an Activity Coordinator, you will develop and lead engaging programs to promote clients’ emotional, social, and physical well-being. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and facilitating activities tailored to seniors, autism, and Alzheimer’s clients, such as arts, music, or exercise programs.
- Encouraging client participation to foster independence and joy.
- Assessing clients’ interests and needs to create personalized activity plans.
- Collaborating with caregivers and families to ensure activities support care goals.
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive environment during activities.
- Documenting participation and outcomes to guide future programming.
Skills/Experience
We are looking for vibrant individuals who share our commitment to person-centered care. Ideal qualifications include:
- Experience in activity planning or recreational therapy, ideally with seniors, autism, or Alzheimer’s clients.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage and motivate diverse clients.
- Creativity and adaptability to design inclusive, meaningful activities.
- Ability to observe and respond to clients’ emotional and physical needs.
- Organizational skills for scheduling and managing supplies.
